Donald Trump took a break from golfing today to host a meeting at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club, where he discussed the Trump Administration’s workforce development policies and apprenticeship initiative.
Following a few brief words, Trump said:
“I also want to thank my daughter, Ivanka, on workforce training and her efforts. She’s been working very, very hard to create new economic opportunities across America and, actually, across the world. And Ivanka, congratulations on working so hard.”
Of course, this is ironic since Ivanka’s products are made overseas, often with women who are overworked and underpaid.
Once the briefing was over, Trump was asked about his “locked and loaded” tweet from this morning, directed at North Korea. Trump said:
“And if he utters one threat in the form of an overt threat, which, by the way, he has been uttering for years, and his family has been uttering for years, or if he does anything with respect to Guam or any place else that’s an American territory or an American ally, he will truly regret it, and he will regret it fast.”
